Privacy Policy — BlueBMI

Overview

BlueBMI is a lightweight, offline mobile application developed by BlueNusa Developer to calculate Body Mass Index (BMI) and provide general health guidance. This app is designed to work fully offline and does not transmit user data to any external server or third-party analytics service.

Information We Collect

BlueBMI intentionally collects minimal information. The app stores only data that you explicitly enter for the purpose of calculating BMI and optionally saving local history.

• Local data stored on device: BMI calculation history (weight, height, calculated BMI, category & timestamp) saved locally using SharedPreferences in JSON format.
• No account or login data: BlueBMI does not require account creation, email sign-in, or other authentication.
• No remote collection: The app does not upload your personal or health data to servers, cloud services, or third-party APIs.

How We Use Data

Data saved by BlueBMI is used only to:

• Display the BMI calculation result and category to you.
• Maintain a local history so you can review previous calculations.
• Provide in-app advice based on the calculated BMI category.

All data usage happens locally on your device. No remote processing, analytics, or profiling occurs.

Sharing and Disclosure

BlueBMI does not share, sell, or disclose your personal data to third parties. Since the app operates offline and stores history locally, there is no automatic data sharing.

If you choose to export or share a screenshot or manually copy records from your device, that action is initiated and controlled by you and is not performed by the app automatically.

Where Data Is Stored

All user-entered data and history are saved on the user's device using Android SharedPreferences. The storage is private to the application and cannot be accessed by other apps without root access.

Note: If a user uninstalls the app, SharedPreferences and the stored history are removed along with the app (unless the user backs up device data via Android back-up services).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data stored on the device. BlueBMI uses standard Android private storage mechanisms to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal details in this app.

Deleting Data

You can delete all locally stored BMI history from within the app using the Clear History (or “Delete All”) button in the History screen. Alternatively, uninstalling the app will remove app-private data from the device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
